What Is Halal?
Halal (Arabic: حلال ḥalāl, “lawful”) is a term designating any object or an action which is permissible to use or engage in, according to Islamic law. The term is used to designate food seen as permissible according to Islamic law (Sharia, الشريعة الإسلامية), though the meaning of the term itself is much broader than the permitted food. Muslims always pay attention to what they eat, as importance of this is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Companies are interested in producing Halal goods nowadays, as this market sector of goods and services is very attractive.
